Despite the Premier League’s absence this weekend, there was still plenty of top quality sporting action to enjoy, and money to be won in our array of pools. From Croatia v England, to our £500 guaranteed TV Races Fantasy, we paid out some big prizes over the past weekend and he’s a look at who won what:

Croatia v England Match Pool: The weekend started early with Croatia hosting England in the UEFA Nations League on Friday night, and in other circumstances could have been a tasty affair. But with the match played behind closed doors due as a past punishment for Croatia, and with injuries on both sides to contend with, it never really got going and had a dull outlook to what was an uneventful match. England had the best of the chances with Eric Dier and Harry Kane heading efforts onto the woodwork, while Marcus Rashford missed two gilt-edge one-on-one chances. The stalemate means England need to win both remaining games to stand a chance of making the Group 1 play-offs, starting with tonight’s trip to Spain, which we have Match Pool for.

In Friday’s pools, Paullovatt won more than £150 in total, by winning the £2, £10 and £25 games. He scored plenty of points for Banking a draw, while also correctly predicting that there would be 2 or fewer goals and 9 or fewer corners to be taken.

Match Pool round-up: No Premier League meant Barnsley and Luton had the chance to impress in front of the TV cameras and they didn’t disappoint. Hosts Barnsley prevailed in a 3-2 thriller, with Brad Potts putting them ahead early, before former Luton man Cameron McGeehan doubled the lead. James Collins netted from the spot in first half stoppage time to make it 2-1, before Mamadou Thiam scored a stunner to put the game out of sight, although Collins gave Luton late hope. Cornish won £30 in our £2 pool, after picking Barnsley to win and Banking five or more goals to be scored, while CliveCooper picked up more than £120 in our £10 and £25 games.

Germany’s poor form continued as Holland inflicted a sixth defeat in 10 games with a comfortable 3-0 victory. Goals from Virgil van Dijk, Memphis Depay and Georginio Wijnaldum sealed the win as the Germans failed to convert any of their 20 chances on goal. That result leaves Germany bottom of Group A1, with relegation now a real possibility. Seanlw19 won our Match Pool, Banking a Dutch win and picking Depay to score at anytime.

Saturday and Sunday Coupons: Gibraltar’s shock 1-0 win at Armenia - their first ever competitive victory - helped Marsden21 scoop £50 in our Nations League Saturday £2 Coupon, scoring 14 of their total points tally of 20. Paullovatt’s fine weekend continued adding a further £150 to his weekend winnings in the £10 and £25 games.

Nosebag67 clearly knows their EFL football, correctly predicting 11 of the 12 League One and Two results in our Coupon. Wins for the likes of Portsmouth, Coventry, Peterborough, Doncaster and Fleetwood as Banker helped secure £64.

Giusto took home £58 in our Sunday Coupon, correctly predicting seven out of the eight match results, including Banking a draw between Romania and Serbia, along with wins for Israel, Italy and Portugal.

Sri Lanka v England 2nd ODI: England went 1-0 up in the five match ODI series in Sri Lanka, with a 31 run victory courtesy of the D/L method. Joe Root stroked his way to 71, while captain Eoin Morgan top scored with 92, as England put themselves on course for a big total. But veteran seamer Lasith Malinga took 5-44 including four wickets with his mix of death bowling, to restrict England to 278. But Chris Woakes' early burst of three wickets reduced Sri Lanka to 31-4, and while they slightly recovered to reach 140-5 before the rain came, they fell to a disappointing defeat.

Chestermann69 won nearly £150 by smashing our £2, £10 and £25 Pick 5 pools, with Malinga top scoring with 161 points, while Dhananjaya de Silva and Jos Buttler contributed by adding more than 60 points each. Withnail160 scooped more than £30 by finishing top across our Predictor pools for the 2nd ODI.

TV Racing Pick 7: We guaranteed Saturday’s Racing Pick 7 pool with £500, and it was Hoofaround who got their hands on the £137 first prize, in the 548 runner pool. They picked four winners, including Banking Aquarium in the 2:05 at York to score 600 points, while Major Jumbo added 300 in the 3:15, also at York.

Best of the rest & what’s coming up: FlopMyNutz won the £50 first prize in our British Masters Fantasy Fourballs, with tournament winner Eddie Pepperell scoring 300 points. Callmeal picked up £30 for finishing top of our Weekend Special by correctly making seven predictions on the sporting action, while Ballj won £200 by sweeping up in our NFL Sunday Handicap Coupons.
