Despite the Premier League taking a break due to the internationals, there was still plenty of sport to enjoy over the past weekend, including the start of the F1 season, the conclusion of the New Zealand v England first Test and plenty of EFL football.

Here’s who won what in our array of weekend pools, starting with Holland v England on Friday night:

Holland v England International Friendly Match Pool: A slightly experimental England side impressed as they recorded a 1-0 victory against the Netherlands. Jesse Lingard scored the only goal of the game just before the hour - his first for England - as the Three Lions put in an assured and dominant display, albeit against a poor Dutch side clearly in transition. In our £2 Match Pool, gdj1976 picked up the £31 first prize, after selecting England to win and Banking Lingard to score at anytime.

League One & Two Coupon: With no Premier League football, our lower league Coupon was our stand out football pool on Saturday, with more than £100 paid out in prizes in the £2 game. Willhhall was victorious, scooping £62 for nine correct predictions across League One and Two, with a draw between Morecambe and Lincoln scoring six points as Banker. They scored two points for Bradford’s win against Gillingham and for third tier leaders Shrewsbury securing a 1-0 victory against AFC Wimbledon. They also scored three points a piece as League Two promotion contenders Exeter saw off Swindon and struggling Forest Green picked up a surprise 2-0 victory against play-off chasing Mansfield.

New Zealand v England 1st Test Pick 5: England reached a new low on their long winter tour, falling to an innings an 49 run thrashing to New Zealand, in the first of two Test matches. Joe Root’s men recorded the sixth worst total in England’s history after getting bundled out for 58 in the first innings, slumping to 27-9 before Craig Overton’s 33 not out at least saw them pass the lowest score in the history of the game.

Rain wiped out the majority of days two and three but there was still time for New Zealand to post 427 thanks to hundreds from Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls. England managed to bat out 80 overs of the final day in their bid to save the game but were all out for 320 as they equalled their worst run of 12 away Tests without a win.

Mfcgadge secured more than £50 in prizes for finishing at the top of our £2 pool, with Williamson scoring 244 points as Banker, while Root, Ben Stokes, BJ Watling and Trent Boult - with nine match wickets - made up the rest of the winning team.

Australian Open GP Pick 6: The new F1 season started with a bang as Sebastian Vettel won a dramatic Australian Grand Prix. Runner-up Lewis Hamilton was in the lead and in command before Vettel overtook his title rival during a safety car period to take an early lead in the season standings. Frakey won just under £30 in our Fantasy Pick 6, with winner Vettel scoring 27 points, while Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg, Esteban Ocon, Lance Stroll and Charles Leclerc made up the rest of the winning team.

WGC Dell Matchplay Fantasy Fourball: Bubba Watson defeated Kevin Kisner 7&6 in the final of the WGC Dell Matchplay to claim the title, and his victory scored players 212 points in our Fantasy Fourball. Marsden21 won the £85 first prize in our £2 game, with Watson the biggest scorer, while Ian Poulter scored 48 points, Patrick Reed 19 and Matt Kuchar 16.

Weekend Quickie: The Young Pretender picked up £30 for winning our Weekend Quickie, correctly answering eight yes or no questions on the weekend’s sporting action. This included scoring points for correctly predicting Cambridge to win the men’s boat race by two lengths or more, answering no to Hamilton winning the Australian GP and yes to Portsmouth beating Oxford in their League One clash.

What’s coming up this week at i-pools: England face Italy at Wembley in another friendly, and we’ve got a Match Pool for you to play, and a Fantasy Pick 5 and Predictor as England’s cricketers look to save face in the second Test against New Zealand on Thursday. As usual, our weekly Premier League Darts Predictor has more than £1,000 guaranteed while all our big money Premier League football pools return from Saturday!
