That Was The (Long) Weekend That Was
Tuesday,May 3,2016

In a weekend that will go down in sporting history because of Leicester's remarkable Premier League triumph, let's take a look at who made it a weekend to remember at i-pools by turning their predictions into cash!

It was a fantastic weekend for ggAAgg who won our £2 Premier League Fantasy 5-a-side Pool for £51.61. His four outfield players – Leighton Baines, Cheikhou Kouyate, Marko Arnautovic and Troy Deeney all managed to find the back of the net which helped him on his way to a fantastic score of 80 points and the 1st place prize. Well played to you, and also to The Professor who won both the £10 and £25 Pools to pocket £101.

Staying with football, our Saturday Coupon again was an incredibly close run thing with just four points separating the top 8 in our £2 Pool. Eventual winner was TheDart, who managed to beat off four other players by just one point thanks to correctly predicting wins for Everton, Newcastle, Watford, Arsenal, Sheffield Wednesday, Burton Albion and Oxford United. Top predicting Sir!

There are huge congratulations in order for Orchapman, who managed to score 100% in our Saturday Football Quickie. A correct banker played on Q6: Will both Watford and Arsenal win, helped him on his way to a full-marks score of 110 and the 1st place prize of £28.80. Fantastic effort!

Our largest single Match Pool of the weekend came on Monday night when Chelsea played host to London rivals Tottenham. Ddflemo was the big winner of the night, turning his £2 entry into £28.80 thanks to correctly predicting a draw, 15 or more corners in the game and the first card coming between the 16th and 30th minute. Well done to you, and to Suejinski and The Professor who won the £10 and £25 Pools respectively.

Our second Novices' Weekend Quickie ended up in a tie: blueboy199 and nicky4neil both scored an impressive 80 points and pocketed £17.50 each for their efforts. Well done to both of you, and to the seven players who all tied for 3rd place! Remember, if you didn't quite make the money this time, you'll still be eligible for next weekend's Novices' Freeroll, so don't be too down on yourself!

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans was heavily disrupted by rain this weekend, but one person who didn't mind was The Young Pretender who would have been delighted to see the tournament reduced to three rounds. His four-man team included 2nd placed Jamie Lovemark and 5th placed Chris Kirk, which led him to a score of 239 and 1st place in both the £2 and £10 Pools for a total win of £116. Well played young man!

There were plenty of other winners in our weekend Pools, make sure you check your e-mail inboxes for those sought after winners' emails. With the Championship, League One and League Two all reaching their conclusions this weekend, there's no better time to re-invest your winnings and turn them into more cash at i-pools!
