The Premier League is back with bigger prizes than ever at i-pools

The Premier League is back with bigger prizes than ever at i-pools
Thursday,August 8,2019

After a summer without the Premier League, it finally makes a long awaited return this weekend and it promises to be a season to remember. The top flight returns with a bang right here at i-pools, bigger than ever with more pools, more prizes and more opportunity to win the Jackpot total of £1 Million. We're also giving new users a free £2 bet upon sign up, where you can enter any £2 pool using your 200 points, including our Premier League Coupon, which has £1,000 guaranteed. So if you back your Premier League predictions to win you some massive sums of cash, come and check out what we’re offering for week one of the 2019/20 season:

Premier League Coupon:

Our Premier League Coupon is our biggest money pool of the opening day, with £1,000 guaranteed in prizes if you enter for £2, with the winner set to bag at least £400. Just predict the results of all 10 matches with points on offer for each correct result, and if you bag the most points, you’ll scoop the biggest share of the prize fund. There’s a point on offer for each result you get right, multiplied by the figure in brackets so if Norwich secure a shock win at Anfield, you’ll score a massive 14 points.

It all gets underway Friday night as Liverpool host Norwich, with last season’s runners-up massive favourites to see off the newly promoted Canaries with the bookies at 3/19 on, which is why they’re just a x1 in our Coupon. The same can be said about champions Man City, who travel to West Ham as they look to kick-start their quest for a hat-trick of Premier League titles with victory.

The other two new boys have spent big this summer, with Aston Villa smashing the transfer window, among the top spenders with more than £120million worth of new signings, while Sheffield United have broken their transfer record four times. United travel to Bournemouth who are looking strong with several new additions and more importantly keeping hold of star man Callum Wilson. The visitors are x4 for victory, suggesting it’ll be a tough ask for them to start their first campaign in the top flight since 2006/07, with a win.

Despite spending the big bucks, Villa couldn’t ask for a much tougher test away to Tottenham, and it’s hard to see anything other than a home win. With Leicester and Wolves both looking very evenly matched, a draw at x3 could be a good shout at the King Power. You’d back Everton at x3, who have made some excellent additions in Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph and Moise Kean, to come away from Selhurst Park with maximum points, and they might actually have a realistic chance of finally breaking into the top six.

Arsenal are x2 to beat Newcastle, while the biggest game of the weekend sees Man Utd host Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday. With the addition of Harry Maguire for a record fee and the emergence of some new talent including Mason Greenwood and giving more faith in Marcus Rashford, United would be good odds at x2 to beat Frank Lampard’s Chelsea. The Blues haven’t been able to bring anyone in while under a transfer ban and may have to take a punt on the likes of Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham, instead of Jorginho and Oliver Giroud to name just a couple, who hardly set the world on fire last season.

Beat the Streak for £1 Million:

We’re also giving you the chance to play for £1 Million each week until the new year. Our Beat the Streak game is £2 to play, where you must pick a team to win their match each week to progress to the next matchday. In order to win the £1 Million Jackpot, you must pick 20 consecutive winners in the first 20 weeks of the season. But just to make it that little bit harder, you can only pick the same team to win once throughout the pool, so if you use Liverpool in week one, you can’t pick them again at all for the duration. That requires you to be shrewd with your selections and saving the bigger boys for when you actually need them. It’s the third season we’ve run our Beat the Streak game, with 15 currently the longest run, proving it’s not quite impossible.

In week one, you could obviously pick Liverpool but that depends if you want to save them for later or not. Bournemouth could be a good selection at home to Sheff Utd, although the Blades will still be on a high from promotion. In what looks like a tightly contested opening day, Watford at home to Brighton seems like the other fairly obvious team to pick to win but really it’s anyone’s game.

With more than £2,000 guaranteed in prizes across our week one Premier League pools and the chance to play for £1 Million, be sure to check out our array of games as the world’s best league returns!
